In terms of the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and its regulations, the tour operator makes the following Privacy Notice available to you:

Trotamundos Maya (trotamundosmaya.com) hereinafter ”the operator”, with address at Calle Águila, Colonia El Cañotal, Lote 11, Mz 132, Isla Mujeres, in the State of Quintana Roo, is the unit responsible for the data personal data collected here.
The contribution you make of your personal data will be used for the purposes described in this privacy notice and may be collected:

The data that “The operator” collects from you, will be the following: full name with surnames, telephone number, email, company, address and financial data such as: Credit card number, name of the card holder, expiration date, security code, as well as data that is necessary to complete and manage reservations and/or purchases of products and services requested by you, including data from third parties.

Purpose of the data collected

Your data is necessary for the service or services you request:

  • Processing, monitoring, updating, modification, cancellation and confirmation of the services reserved by you with “The Operator” through its means, for financial and credit purposes, to comply with the obligations contracted with you and with our suppliers.
  • To get in touch to offer them more information for the generation of possible reservations.

We will use your personal information for the following purposes that are necessary for the requested service, but that allow us and facilitate greater attention:

Modification of personal data

In case you require any changes, you must send an email to info@trotamundosmaya.com in compliance with article 29 of the Law, said request must contain the following information:

  1. Your name and address or other means to communicate the response to your request;
  2. The documents that prove your identity or, where appropriate, the legal representation of the person making the request on your behalf;
  3. The clear and precise description of the personal data with respect to which you seek to exercise any of the rights mentioned in the previous paragraph, and
  4. Any other element or document that facilitates the location of your personal data.

In case of requesting the rectification of personal data, you must additionally indicate the modifications to be made and provide the documentation that supports your request. The response to your request will be communicated to you within a period of twenty business days, counted from the date it was received, and may be extended to twenty more days in the cases established by law; so that, if appropriate, the measures adopted to comply with your request are carried out, which will be carried out within fifteen business days following the date on which the response is communicated.

Measures to protect your information and to limit the use or disclosure of your personal information

The operator implements administrative, technical and physical security measures in accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Individuals and other applicable regulations to protect your data, which we require to be complied with by the service providers we hire.

  • When the transfer is necessary for the maintenance or fulfillment of a legal relationship between the controller and the owner, such as Suppliers, Tourist Service Providers, Banking and Credit Institutions, among others.

It is important to point out that the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred will be bound by the same terms of this Privacy Notice and will comply with the corresponding security and confidentiality measures.

In any case, we undertake not to transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the case of the provisions of article 37 of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, as well as to carry out this transfer in the terms established by said Law.

Exercise of ARCO Rights

Article 28 of the LFPDPPP grants you four rights to exercise:

  2. The owner has the right to rectify his data if it is inaccurate, incorrect or out of date.

Article 8 of the LFPDPPP provides for the possibility of revoking the consent granted for the processing of your personal data. To revoke it, you may request it using the same mechanism and procedure for the exercise of ARCO Rights provided in this notice.
