Use of the site
The content of the Site: statements, phrases, texts, paragraphs, graphics, button icons, trademarks, photographs taken on the tours, logos, graphic design, editorial material, are the exclusive property of Trotamundos Maya or have all the Licenses and Authorizations for such use. Therefore, its total or partial reproduction is not allowed.
The Client guarantees that:
- You have the capacity to bind yourself and contract when you are of legal age.
- You use the site to make reservations on your behalf or on behalf of a person for whom you can act on your behalf.
- You will be responsible for the Terms of Use that apply to reservations made on behalf of those people, including any rules or restrictions.
- All information you provide to the site is true, accurate, complete, current.
Reservation Policy
The rates published on this Site are valid only on the day of their quote and are subject to change without notice. The rates shown are guaranteed at the time of receiving the corresponding payment. All reservations are subject to availability.
A reservation is considered complete when a confirmation number is assigned to you, the corresponding charge has been applied and you have sent a copy of the deposit slip, transfer or payment receipt.
The reservation can be made online or by phone; You authorize the use of the credit card number provided to make the payment, you expressly confirm that you know and accept our reservation, payment, disclaimer and cancellation policies. All changes to a reservation are subject to availability and rate requotes.
You need to print your reservation coupon and present it at the time of claiming the services you reserve.
These policies also apply to cancel reservations made in fixed payments
Our Contract
Reservations are made with Trotamundos Maya (trotamundosmaya.com) who, as a tour operator, hires and/or acts as an intermediary through its reservation services, for the benefit of a User-Tourist, of services provided by the different providers. . By booking an excursion with Globetrotters, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions which constitute the entire agreement between you and Globetrotters.
Private and Tour Excursions
Excursions can be private or tour, considering different costs for each of the respective services. In case you want to increase the number of clients at the last minute or a few hours before your departure, the quota will be verified in the transport, whether it is land, sea or both.
Payments
Once you send us the reservation form we will send you a PayPal invoice containing instructions on how to make the payment. A 3.65% charge will apply for charges made in Mexico, and 5% for payments made from the United States and other countries. All payments must be in US dollars (USD). Once payment is received, your reservation is considered confirmed.
Cancellation Policy
Private Tours: 75% of payment will be refunded if canceled 60 days prior to your tour date. 50% of the payment will be refunded if canceled between 30 and 60 days before the date of your excursion. In the event of a cancellation less than 15 days prior to the scheduled tour date and/or in the event of a no-show, a refund will not be issued.
In case of COVID, 50% of the reservation will be returned after presenting a medical certificate or a positive PCR test. In case of requesting it, a coupon valid for one year can be given so that you can change the date of the tour.
(*)Special exception for Excursions in Aquatic Activities in the event that aquatic activities cannot be carried out due to weather conditions, a coupon valid for one year will be issued for you to change the date of the tour.
Transfers: Some tours have transportation included. The pick up or transfer is included from the hotel zone of Cancun or Playa del Carmen to the area where the tour will take place. In the event that you are staying in an apartment outside the hotel zone or downtown Cancun or Playa del Carmen, we ask you to verify the pick-up area. In the case of lodging in Tulum, the cost may vary or you will be asked to move to Playa del Carmen.
In Xcaret group tours the cost varies if the lodging is in Playa del Carmen, Cancun or Tulum. Please consult the values or verify with a seller.
Force Majeure
In the event that an excursion is impossible to complete due to circumstances beyond the control of Trotamundos Maya, such as strike, demonstrations, epidemics, earthquakes, disturbances, etc., Trotamundos Maya has the right to suspend or modify the excursion. Refunds will not be issued if the excursion has already started or within the cancellation policy periods explained above. The nature of some excursions requires a certain flexibility of itinerary and route and you must consider the alternatives. The planned itinerary for each excursion is representative of the types of activities contemplated, but it is understood that the route, schedules, tourist sites, activities, itinerary, services and mode of transportation may be subject to change without prior notice due to local circumstances or events. events beyond our control, including weather, road closures, labor strikes, or temporary closures of archaeological sites.
Insurance
It is recommended that you take out your own personal travel insurance for your excursion, covering accidents, medical costs, repatriation costs, and property loss or damage. Trotamundos Maya is not responsible for objects left by clients in the vehicle during an excursion.
Limitation of Liability
Trotamundos Maya is excluded from any liability in relation to loss, death, injury or damage that may be suffered (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising from the client’s participation in a Trotamundos Maya tour or any of its suppliers.
Trotamundos Maya and our officers, employees, agents and representatives are hereby excluded from any liability and you expressly waive any claim you may have against Trotamundos Maya arising out of or in connection with your participation in a tour.
Trotamundos Maya contracts with a network of companies, agencies and individuals to assist in the operation of our excursions as external agents. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of these third parties.
Photos, dissemination and advertising: It is understood that the material that may be taken by Trotamundos Maya during the excursions is the property of Trotamundos Maya and will be used for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. If you do not want photos of yourself, simply inform your guide.
